Instrumental Recording

If you're singing for a wedding, or other special event, and either can't find, or don't want a live accompanist, we can make a recording of the instrumental part of a song for you. We use an external MIDI sequencing computer with a double port MIDI interface, and a pair of top quality keyboard synthesizers, giving you a recording that's practically indistinguishable from the original.

These examples are in Ogg Vorbis format, an audio format similar to MP3, but with no patent issues, as it is an open format. In order to play them, you need a player that supports this format. Older versions of Winamp don't by default, but the Ogg Vorbis Plugin solves that problem. So would upgrading to a newer version of WinAmp.

Jazz Number 1 - by Chris Biltcliffe - 1.03 MB

Jazz Number 1 is the same song as is available on the MIDI Composition page, only in an audio format that doesn't depend on the quality of the sound card in your computer.

These two files have a sample rate of 22050Hz, and a bitrate of 128kbps, recorded in stereo. It is possible to have sample rates up to 44100Hz, and bit rates up to 350kbps with the program used to record them, however, to save space, and download time, these have been reduced. Needless to say, this affects the sound of the high end of the audio spectrum, but, most computer speakers being what they are.....
